Dilliebooks founder Sharon McKee is taking part in this year’s Traverse Travel Bloggers’ Conference.

A whole weekend talking about writing, books, travel, and meeting people with same passions – what’s not to love?! I am super excited to have been invited to speak at Traverse 16, on April 9th I’ll be holding a workshop session looking at the why, what and how of creating a book from a blog.

At Dilliebooks we do get approached by people who want to know if we can publish their blog. The answer usually is no – and yes! While it’d be unusual for us to just repackage a blog into a book per se, there is huge potential to develop a book from a blog. Bloggers are likely to have more content, ideas and stories than just those published on their blog, and may already have a well developed niche, audience, writing skills and voice.

I’ll also be happy to have one to one sessions and looking forward to chatting with anyone interested in potentially writing a book, whether just wondering about it and wanting to find out more, or hearing from those who have already had the experience of being published.

This is the fourth Traverse conference and it’s a full, fun weekend of learning, sharing and connecting with others from the blogging and travel world. If you are a blogger or from Industry, then get yourself along. And if you’ve already got your ticket – see you there!

Traverse 16 takes place 8-10 April in Cardiff.
